Cosplay FAQ
Q: My friends and I just want to wear costumes and hang out, but don't want to enter any cosplay contests. Do we still have to sign up?
A If you just want to hang out with friends,take photos ,wear a costume, and just plain out look cool,you do not have to register.


Q:
Do I need a wristband to enter the cosplay contest?
A: Yes. You will need a wristband to enter all areas of the Dragonfest; this includes the Cosplay contest.
 

Q: Do I have to make my costume myself ?
A:
Yes, store bought or rented costumes will not be allowed to participate in the Cosplay Contest. 
    Store bought props and or pieces will be allowed


Q: What is the difference between  Cosplay throughout the Convention and the Cosplay Contest?
A: Cosplay throughout the Convention takes place from 10 am to 5 pm. You can hang out, take photos, meet new friends,etc.  The fans and other cosplayers will ask you to take photos. TV, magazines, news, and other forms of media will also ask to take your photos. The Cosplay contest at 2:30 is for those that wish to strut their stuff on stage for a chance to win a prize.


Q: Is there an age limit to participation in the Cosplay festivities?
A: Not  at all, we definitely encourage people of all ages to participate in Cosplay.
 

Q: I wanted to know if it is permissible to bring a katana as a prop?
A: 
A suggestion is to email info@ dragonfest.com to see if they approve of your prop.


Q: Is there an additional fee to enter the Cosplay or partake in the days festivities?
A: Only your entrance fee to the Dragonfest.Once you pay your admission , you will be given a wristband good for all the events.There are no additional fees to enter the Cosplay Contest.

Do I need to pre-register for the Cosplay contest?
AYes, it is necessary for us to receive your registration form before November 1st, 2004
