Cosplay Contest Rules
 
1. Please keep strutting your stuff and costumes to a PG or PG-13 level ,there will be young children and families present,in addition to media from all areas: TV, Magazine, News, Etc. on hand

2. No authentic firearms. If you are unsure about a weapon or prop, email a photo of your prop to
info@dragonfest.com  Atttention Cosplay at Dragonfest
 
3. No store bought or rented costumes will be allowed to participate in the Cosplay Contest. 
   Store bought props and or pieces are allowed.

4. Anything you bring onstage (props, etc.with you must come off the stage with you. 

5. Be professional and on time,and listen to all Dragonfest staff for information & scheduling .

6. Each Cosplayer may appear only once onstage. You can not be a prop in additional groups.

7. If you wish to enter as a group , please try and keep it to 6 people on the stage at once. This way it will be easier for all the photographers, etc. to get a clean group shot for publication.

8. Be sure at all times to be completely aware of all of your personal belongings
    (Dragonfest is not liable for any missing cameras, purses, etc.)

9. 
 Each COSPLAYER entering the contest needs to fill out, and mail in the registration form by November 1st, 2004 If you are part of a group then label in the top right hand corner of the registration form the name of the group.

10. Limit your strutting or skit to 1 to 2 minutes in duration.We want all cosplayers to be able to be seen by the judges and the event to proceed within a certain allotment of time. 
 
11. All Prizes will be given out at approximately at 4:30 pm the day of the event.
 
 
12.  Judges will award Prizes as follows:
 
                                        
                                        1.   Best Individual  Craftsmanship    
                                        2.   Best Group  Craftsmanship 
                             
           3.   Gerald Okamura Dragon Award 
                                        4.   Dragonfest Cosplayer of the Year Award

If you just want to Cosplay around the event
and have no intention of participating in the contest,
you do not need to register.
 
Just have fun around the Dragonfest .
Just remember that you will be asked to stop and take photos with all the fans,
and your fellow Cosplayers.
